Funds + endowments
Passion for Art Fund
A gift to the Passion for Art Fund supports IMA operations and is the most comprehensive way to support the Museum—making connections with the community, supporting public programs and events, and working behind the scenes to support art conservation, care for the gardens and grounds, and much more. Your employer may match the tax-deductible portion of your gift, increasing its value, so please check with your employer’s human resources department and request a matching gift form.
Tribute and memorial gifts
Tributes and memorial gifts can be made in honor of a friend, family member, or business associate. The honored individual or family will receive an acknowledgment that a gift has been made. All tribute and memorial gifts are also acknowledged in the IMA Annual Report.
To make a tribute or memorial gift, contact the IMA Membership and Annual Fund Manager at 317-923-1221 x266 or development@imamuseum.org
Art acquisition endowment
The quality of an art museum is determined by the quality of its collections. While the IMA’s collections are outstanding, the Museum needs a larger acquisition endowment to continue to improve and broaden the scope of its collections for its diverse audience, acquire new 21st century art, maintain its purchasing power, and attract new gifts of privately held collections.
The IMA has set a goal for its acquisition endowment fund of $50 million, which will generate about $2.5 million annually to purchase works of art. The future of the IMA’s collections depends on civic-minded leaders in the community. For more information on how you can participate, contact the IMA Director of Institutional Advancement at 317-923-1331 x268 or development@imamuseum.org
